Fair Isle

I absolutely adore the colors in this sweater.  It works with black, royal blue, yellow, lime green, white, or, in this case, hot pink!  It's like a modern, neon, geometric take on the classic fair isle.

Stripes

Professional-looking and comfortable?  I'm totally on board!  I have worn this jersey Old Navy skirt more than any other piece of clothing this summer/fall/winter.  It's perfect because it works across seasons.  Throw on a pair of tights and you're all set for a winter day.  The pops of mint in the belt and necklace add visual interest to the otherwise black and white outfit.

Black and Blue

I've hopped on the black and blue bandwagon.  I found this cute polka-dotted shirt at Gap Outlet and started putting this outfit together in my head before I even tried the top on!  I think the navy and black look is incredibly chic, but I mostly just love it when you get to break old fashion rules!

I wore this to work, then to the opening of "Anything Goes" at the local theater.  The shoes were incredibly comfortable until the second hour of the pre-theater mixer.  Oops!  I'm going to give it a week or two before I wear these to work again...

Better Sweater

This is my sweet puppy, Layla!  Seriously the best dog ever!

The Aztec sweater is really in right now, so when it came into the store where I work, I wanted it immediately.  Thank you, employee discount!

This has to be the most comfortable sweater of all time, and when you pair it with leggings, it's like wearing pajamas around all day.  (But slightly more chic!)  Speaking of the leggings, if you're looking for thicker, sturdier leggings, check these out.  They're yoga pants from Prana.  And they're amazing.

I picked up this shark tooth necklace from a jewelry-maker at the Brooklyn Flea.  It's the perfect mix of adorable and bad-ass!

Foxy Lady

I’m so glad you’re here!

If you’re interested in my story, you can find it here

A year ago, I was totally stuck in a wardrobe rut and wouldn’t have dared to wear this outfit!  My rules were no prints, no skinny jeans, and no black.  Looking back, I’m not exactly sure what I wore every day.  Glad that’s over!

I’m usually a little hesitant about putting a collared shirt under a sweater because it can tend to look a little masculine, but the floral detail on the collar helped me get over it.

Someone told me last week that Taylor Swift was seen wearing this sweater.  New style icon?
